HULL CLEANING | Det var i den grad tid til at give vores bund & propeller lidt kærlighed. Vi nåede nærmest at få en hel græseng på vores fine bund. Heldigvis havde vores nabobåd en hooker (12V luft), som vi kunne låne og så det hele blev lidt sjovere.Vi havde håbet, at det at male vores bund med Coppercoat hjemmefra, ville betyde at vi ikke skulle hverken på land og bundmale eller skrabe noget synderligt mens vi var afsted. Det er desværre ikke tilfældet, der er temmelig meget begroning og det påvirker vores fart, så vi er nødt til at hoppe i baljen og trimme søgræsset relativt ofte. Da vi alligevel har været på land flere gange for at skifte pakninger på vores sejldrev, så havde det måske været meget smartere (og billigere) for os at vælge en anden bundmaling. Men sådan kan man jo være så bagklog.nn| ENG |nIt was definitely time to give our hull & propellers some love! We almost managed to get a whole lawn down there. Luckily our neighboring boat had a hooker (12V air) that we could borrow and so it all became a little more fun. We had hoped that painting our bottom with Coppercoat would mean that we would not have to go on the hard and paint the bottom or scrape that much while we were away. Unfortunately, that is definitely not the case, there is quite a lot of fouling and it affects our speed, so we have to jump in the tub and trim the seaweed relatively often. Since we have been on the hard several times to change the seals on our sail drive anyway, it would probably have been much better (and cheaper) for us to choose a different bottom paint. But you can always be clever in hindsight.
