AIRPORT | Onsdag morgen lander det ugentlige fly fra Tahiti her på Raroia. Vi tog forbi for at se flyet og opleve stemningen. Flyets ankomst var nærmest en attraktion og det føltes som om vi var fluerne på væggen til et anderledes ø liv. Lufthavnen er lille og nærmest bare åben og til trods for at øen kun har 5 biler er der mindst 20 parkeringspladser foran den lille bygning. Brandmanden stod klar, vi hilste på ejerne af perlefarmen som sad i deres bil helt frem til afgang, vi så hvordan de unge spillede spil og dansede til tiktok. Vi hang ud med fiskerne, vi mødte den anden dag, som i dagens anledning også var lufthavnsmedarbejdere. En dame gik rundt med en kylling og Hugo fra @sailingniord, som var der for at hente en pakke, var pludselig nærmest lokal, da han dagen inden fik lavet en spontan (meget smuk) tatovering af den lokale tatovør, da han egentlig bare skulle en tur i købmanden. Vi hilste på borgmesteren der kom med flyet og talte med købmandens kone som ligeledes arbejdede i lufthavnen og var hende der sendte bud efter tatovøren. Vi sluttede af i købmanden med en is, heldigvis uden at få en tatovering, men dog med en bestilling på øens bedste tunburger.nn| ENG |nWednesday morning, the weekly flight from Tahiti lands here at Raroia. We hung out with the fishermen we met the other day, who were also airport employees on the occasion of the day. A lady was walking around with a chicken and Hugo from @sailingniord, who was there to pick up a package, was suddenly almost a local when he got a spontaneous (very beautiful) tattoo done by the local tattoo artist the day before, when he really just had to a trip to the grocery store. We greeted the mayor who came by plane and spoke to the merchant’s wife who also worked at the airport and was the one to set up Hugo With the tattoo. We ended up in the grocery store with an ice cream, luckily without getting a tattoo, but with an order for the island’s best tuna burger…
