We had heard that there would be a lot of sharks and we were not disappointed. It is difficult to catch on camera, but it felt like swimming with several hundred gray sharks & white tipped reef sharks, like a big living carpet. The dive got a bit dramatic though, when a chasing shark decided to sank its teeth into my index finger. I was surprised, but we continued the dive as planned and luckily the pain only got worse when we subsequently came to the surface and the wound swelled up. In addition, Martin & Frederik had to go out and pick us up when Edith´s dinghy ran aground, while we were drifting with the current. So all in all, you could call it a pretty eventful dive. Back on the boat I took a homeopathic sugar pill for the shock and then I was fortunate to find that it was a completely clean cut that didn´t need anything other than a plaster. Today the wound looks fine, I was lucky & now I have a pretty good story behind me.
